The Crankbrothers Mallet clip-in shoe is perfect for both the race track and the bike park. It features our innovative Match System, which ensures optimized engagement with any MTB clip-in system, including Crankbrothers and SPD. The shoe comes pre-installed with the Match shim and Crankbrothers cleat in a neutral position, making it ready to use with Crankbrothers pedals straight out of the box.

The Clip-in System is specifically designed to provide an optimal shoe/pedal interface. The Match Box offers compatibility with any MTB pedal, while the Race Zone cleat positioning ensures control and stability. The stiff shank allows for efficient power transfer, and the ramp provides easy clip-in/out and mud clearance. The MC1 rubber compound reduces friction for easy exit.

For walkability and durability, the shoe features directional angled and spaced toe/heel lugs for traction while hiking, a ramped toe for walkability on steep terrain, and lug depth designed to absorb pedal pins for a secure connection. Additionally, rounded lugs provide abrasion resistance.

Shock absorption and protection are also key features of the shoe. The cushioned EVA midsole offers optimal shock absorption, TPU reinforced areas provide protection and abrasion resistance, and a padded tongue protects against impacts.

Breathability, fit, and safety are all taken into consideration with this shoe. Ventilated lateral mesh windows and a perforated tongue and toe area ensure breathability.
